Hot. Sensual and hot. I love fated mates and this didn't disappoint. I wasn't expecting the language to be so rich and evocative but it really puts you there in the sex scenes. I appreciated the little unexpected touches of humor and the charming gay bestie Sam. It's always nice to get the insanely rich guy as well. I wish the story was longer because I could see more challenges (and naughty times!) that could come along for these two. I could see a second story about Sam and his bear-shifter boyfriend. I was so freaking disappointed that (at this point) this was the only thing that Briar has written. More, more! Checked out on Kindle Unlimited but went back and bought it. 4.5 stars!Product details

Loved the story.... The story is so good that it can be made into a series... Enjoyed the story so much that wished that it was a little longer.. Would read all the books if this was made into series.
This is a first read for me with this author. I really liked this book. It is well written and I like the characters. The chemistry between the characters is hot. I'm looking forward to reading something else from this author.
Unsure if I like the book or not. Was pretty straightforward but there was something lacking. Not quite great, not bad but....I don't know lacking. Is this the first of the series, if so perhaps that is it. I just found the characters lacking and not memorable. Only one I could remember is Rava. Doesn't say a lot if the one person you can remember is the despicable one. The heroes were bland, storyline unexplained did our hero know of shifters the angst between the characters ho-hum. I was bored. Huh that's it boredom. Perhaps the next would get better.
Lion's Claim is the first book I've read by Briar Omance. If this is the first published story by this author, it has a lot going for it. The story flowed and wasn't always told from one viewpoint. The characters were interesting and believable. The situation between the two wasn't original because there are so many shifter stories out there but it was well thought out.
So Josh's friend entices him to go out clubbing but not just to any club. This is a shifter owned one. Josh wasn't really interested, had just about decided to give up on relationships but decided to tag along. From the moment they're in line, Josh knew the club catered to a different type and he felt out of place, under dressed and the odd man out.
Mercer is a pride leader, a lion shifter, on the lookout for his fated mate. He has a deadline and like Josh, has just about given up. But he is here at the same club as the last resort. Once Mercer's gaze lands on Josh, all bets are off.
Like I said I enjoyed this story. Yes it is a common theme of shifters and finding your fated mate. But if this is a first book as I think it is, it's written a lot tighter and seamlessly then some authors that have zillions of stories out. There's enough background to know the plot, the characters are well defined, and the story ends when you know things will work out. Once I was done I had to check and see if another book was out by this author and was disappointed when I didn't see anything. I wlll be checking back to see if Briar Omance writes more, especially about Mercer's Pride and how things go. - Dan's Wife
